This homework should actually be due on Friday, November 23 but with Parent-Teacher conferences and the fact I won't be here for Tuesday's class I think the 29th is the first available time for us to take up this homework. Please read pages 44-45 in the text and answer the following questions about other things DTP programs can do:- What is text wrapping?
- Why is text wrapping useful?
- What is the strength of DTP?
- When it comes to paper size what is an advantage of using DTP as opposed to a word processing program?
- What are 5 rules to making good looking documents in DTP?

Homework due for November 22, 2007
For your next homework please read the introduction to DTP in the text found on pages 42-43. Then, answer the following questions:- What two advances revolutionized the way printed materials were produced?
- Describe how the letter press worked.
- Describe how photo-type setting worked.
- Give two reasons why DTP is more flexible that regular Word Processing.
- How do you achieve a newspaper style look using DTP?
Remember to answer the questions in your own words to demonstrate you understand the material.

2nd Work due for November 15, 2007
Go under the Help menu in Microsoft Word and search for Setting Tab Stops. Then, answer the following questions:- What is a tab stop?
- What does it enable you to do?
- What are two ways to set tabs (hint: one can be found under Format)?
- How can you precisely set tabs?
- Explain what a leader is and how you set one.
Remember, write the answers in your own words. Good luck. Once you have finished that get the worksheet from me in class so you may begin working with Tabs.
