2. Give an example, not found in the reading, of a small database. (1 pt.)
3. Give two examples of large databases that might be used to help members of the public. (2 pts.)
4. Describe a GIS and how it is used. (4 pts.)
5. Explain what is meant by: file, record, and field. (3 pts.)
6. Look carefully at the table on page 107. In your opinion, do the advantages of a database outweight the disadvantages? (3 pts.)

1)Explain what is meant by the following terms:

2) Give two reasons why choosing the correct field type is important (2 pts).
